Week 5 (Feb. 24th to Feb. 27th)

This week was the first full one in two weeks. After the end of the Olympics in Sochi correspondent Jason Jones’ final report from Russia aired on Monday’s show, after a very entertaining and humorous few weeks with reports that only The Daily Show could do.  The protests in the Ukraine and the arrest of Mexican drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman were covered. Actor Liam Neeson was interviews on Wednesday’s show about his new film Non-Stop and Kevin Roose talked about his new book Young Money: Inside the Hidden World of Wall Street’s Post-Crash Recruits on Thursday. This book sounds very interesting and I may add it to my reading list for the summer. Michio Kaku, physics professor at the City University of New York,  talked about his book The Future of the Mind on Tuesday’s show. This was a very fascinating interview.  On Monday’s show Hooman Majd talked about life in Iran which was also very interesting. The guests on this week’s shows were very interesting and what they talked about  was very thought-provoking and covered a variety of topics and ideas.
